EDWARDS UPHOLSTERY - BEFORE & AFTER

CLUB CHAIR BEFORE AND AFTER
This 1950s Club chair has clearly seen better days but the quality of frame and style of the chair is something rarely seen today.
We stripped the chair down to its bare frame and traditionally re-upholstered it. We did this using all the same techniques and stuffings that would have been used originally.
Using coil springs, jute web, fibre, horse hair, cotton felt etc, as you can see it looks as good as new, and hopefully it will last another 60 years.
CLUB SOFA BEFORE AND AFTER
A customer called us for a quotation to re-upholster this classic 1950s Club sofa, which was previously owned by her Grandmother. We came to their house with a variety of pattern books, unfortunately none of which was to their liking, so we measured the sofa, advised them how much fabric they would need and gave them a price for just the labour of re-upholstering.
This was far cheaper than buying a quality sofa new so the customer bought the fabric themselves and we upholstered it for them
CHAISE LONGUE BEFORE AND AFTER
This Victorian Chaise Longue was in bad condition before we restored it. The frame was broken and all the springs and stuffing needed replacing. We stripped it down to its bare frame, then repaired that by knocking all the joints out, replacing and repairing them all securing with wood adhesive. Then we upholstered it using Jute webbing, coil springs, Hessian, fibre, horse hair, cotton felt and calico. The back and arm were deep buttoned to give a real traditional look.
SCROLL ARM SOFA BEFORE AND AFTER
This sofa was not in great condition. The fabric was worn, the stuffing had turned to dust and the springs needed replacing. We stripped the chair down to its bare frame, checked all the joints before starting the upholstery. We then replaced all the springs, lining and stuffings before covering in an Ian Mankin's Linen fabric. The image does not do justice the transformation of this sofa !!
PARKER KNOLL CHAIR BEFORE AND AFTER
This Parker Knoll chair was not in very good condition at all when our customer brought it in.
We had to strip it down to it's bare frame, before we repaired the frame, polished the arms and legs.
Then we replaced all of the springs, linings, and stuffings before upholstering in a stunning Designers Guild Fabric.
